IBM faced challenges in sourcing qualified Oracle E Business Suite resources for their telecommunications ERP service delivery, particularly in South Africa where local suppliers were unable to find skilled resources. This led to poor delivery results and delayed project timelines.
Solution:
At Penta Consulting, we identified companies in South Africa that had Oracle EBS, and through targeted campaigns, we successfully employed senior resources to train and develop resources in niche Oracle EBS specialties. We also attracted talent from outside South Africa to assist in training and developing local interns, and we invested in certifying the Penta Consulting Oracle EBS technical intern team.
Result:
Thanks to our innovative solution, IBM was able to deliver the project on time and on budget. We were also able to increase the number of resources we had with the client, from 4 to 20, in a short amount of time.
